This is an absolutely beautiful Antique Brunswick Saratoga pool table.  The legs, frame, rail skirting, and embossed moulding are all made from solid, quarter-sawn oak. This table has been "very recently" restored and refinished; in fact, it looks like there hasn't been a game played on it.  The rails were made using a rosewood veneer and all the sights are authentic ivory.  The frame of the Saratoga is assembled using 12, one-inch diameter bolts, making it extremely sturdy.  In fact, you probably cannot find a more solid table anywhere!  The slate is 1" standard Brunswick slate and is in perfect condition, and the table has new Brunswick super-speed rail rubber.

This table was originally purchased by the Denver Athletic Club for their game room, and was later purchased (around 1950) in a charity auction by a prominent Denver family.  It stayed in the family until recently.

This antique Brunswick will make a beautiful center-piece to your game room.

The table includes 4 two-piece Brunswick house cues, one short cue (if needed), one set of Brunswick Centennial billiard balls, one 8-ball triangle, one table brush and one heavy duty table cover.  Also included are two matching wall racks; one 10-cue antique cue rack and one billiard ball wall rack.  Both were originally purchased with the table and are in their original, unrestored condition.  We have installed New Championship 30/30 Tour Edition (Dark Green) billiard cloth.  Other colors are available.

Here is some background on the Saratoga from Brunswick Billiards...

Saratoga 4 leg model
From the 1908-1909 Brunswick-Balke-Collender Company catalog, page 22:

A magnificent billiard or pool table which finds lasting favor with all. Handsomely figured golden oak and mahogany.

Manufactured under 18 construction patents awarded between 1892 and 1905.

The 5x10' size is also made with six legs.

Of all the many elegant designs of high-grade billiard tables originated by us, none have found more lasting favor with the general public than the Saratoga. It is not the highest price table that we make, but it is thoroughly first class in construction and finish. The design is both handsome and unique. This table has been extensively imitated by other manufacturers who have copied in appearance only. In construction that have met with what to them has been insurmountable difficulties.

The slate bed is best quality Vermont one inch thick. Can be furnished with slate 1 1 /2" in thickness, when desired, at a small advance in cost. The sections of slate are joined together with brass dowels and sockets, entirely eliminating screw holes in the slate bed.

The cushions are the celebrated quick acting Monarch, guaranteed the most perfect angle cushion in the world. Used by all professional players in America and Europe.

The cushion rails are of extra heavy construction and firmly bolted to the slate bed. The cushion rail tops are veneered with rosewood, which does not change color, cannot be easily disfigured and does not have the objectionable features of a polished surface.

The usual method of construction is reinforced with heavy iron bolts holding the frame work to the head blocks and legs, producing a species of rigid bridge work and staple durability which will make a table of this class last a lifetime and give good service.
