This is beautiful 1940's Brunswick Centennial pool table. This table has been completely restored.  If you're looking for a timeless, special pool table that you and your guests will love playing, then this table is for you.

The Centennial features an extremely solid frame, similar to the Brunswick Gold Crown, new drop leather bucket pockets, all new rail rubber with double shimmed pockets to improve the table playability and 1 inch wood-backed slate.

From the 1946 Brunswick Billiard Equipment and Supplies catalog no. 101:

The Centennial draws back the curtain on opportunity unequalled in the history of the billiard business. You get every advantage of Brunswick's more than a century of experience in this, the finest table money can buy. Outstandingly beautiful as an example of modern design, the Centennial also makes full use of modern materials.

Featuring handsomely finished, mar resistant aluminum aprons and leg basing, the Centennial retains a touch of traditional elegance in the rich rosewood finish of its exposed woods.

Its massively constructed hardwood frame rests on two oval-shaped plywood legs designed for maximum strength and rigidity. Other play stimulating refinements of the Centennial are a convenient ball storage rack, specially designed leather pockets, molded pocket pads, sloping apron design and handy bridge rack. Every detail of the Centennial table reflects the result s of over 100 years of Brunswick leadership in billiard table design and styling.

Centennial Carom Tables give players the finest playing action possible on any table. The new type massive rail eliminates vibration and increases accuracy. The cushions have just the right amount of resiliency, and the level slate assures true roll. Brunswick Centennial Carom Tables are built by expert craftsmen who use only the finest materials. - Legs: Two oval shaped plywood legs with tapered ends, fitted with 6 3/4" high aluminum basing attached to bottom.

- Aprons: Aprons of extruded aluminum with grooved and fluted contour to match contour of corner castings and flow into rounded edge of rails. Aprons securely fastened to rail and sturdily braced to base frame. Roomy ball rack in foot end apron of gully and pocket tables has four compartments holding five balls each.

- Rails: Rosewood faced.

- Finish: All exposed wood surfaces except playing rails are finished in rosewood. Playing rails are finished with a special rosewood burn resistant finish. All concealed wood surfaces are treated with a moisture repellent. All exposed aluminum surfaces have a mar-resistant, satin aluminum color finish.

- Base Frame: The massive base frame is constructed of hardwoods, consisting of two side rails, two end rails and two cross stretchers. The entire top surface is carefully leveled to receive slate.

- Slate: A matched set of slate, consisting of three pieces one inch thick, each piece backed up by a wood frame, is mounted on top of base frame. The slate joints are kept in perfect alignment by means of metal dowels and ferrules. Slate is accurately drilled for rail bolts. Slate is fastened to slate frame by concealed screws. Entire playing surface is left unmarred by screws. Slate is tightly anchored to base frame. The bottom of slate frame is planed and the top surface of the slate ground to obtain uniform thickness throughout.

- Rails: 1 3/4" thick x 4 1/2" wide in the exposed surface, of select cabinet woods. Fitted with the latest improved Brunswick cushions, containing live rubber, cemented to rail edge and covered with cushion cloth held tightly in position by means of a concealed feather strip along top surface. Rails have large rounded contour. Mother of pearl sights are located in proper position in top surfaces.

- Corner Castings: The Centennial apron casting is grooved and fluted to match apron.

- Pocket and pad assembly: A molded, canvas backed semi-hard rubber composition pocket pad, formed to deflect ball downward into pocket, is provided for pocket openings. A specially designed leather bucket type pocket is securely attached on bottom edge of each pad.

Playing equipment with every Centennial table: 1 Brunsco #1 Bed Cloth, gray or green; 2 Challenger Bridges with plastic heads; 1 new style revolving cue rack; 1 Premier table cover, 1 gross billiard chalk, plus the following equipment for tables of various sizes:

- Gully and pocket tables: 12 Tru-Balance cues with fibre points; 1 set Ivorylene pocket balls; 1 triangle (2 1/4"), 1 package large black spots; 1 set (100) wood markers; 2 hooks (marker wire), 1 Wire Stretcher, 25 feet Marker Wire.

- Carom tables: 12 Tru-Balance Cues--fibre points; 1 set Blue Spot Carom Balls; 1 package small black spots, 1 set (1001) wood markers; 2 hooks (marker wire), 1 wire stretcher, 25 feet marker wire.

Centennial tables are constructed in a striking design that contrasts modern aluminum with traditional dark woods. They represent Brunswick's more than a century of table manufacturing--possessing strength, rigidity, and superior playing qualities. There is no finer billiard table at any price.

Specifications for Centennial Tables:

Legs: Two oval-shaped laminated legs with tapered ends, fitted with 6 3/4" high aluminum basing attached to bottom.

Aprons: Aprons of extruded aluminum with grooved and fluted contour to match contour of corner castings and flow into rounded edge of rails. Aprons securely fastened to rail and sturdily braced to base frame. Roomy ball rack in foot end apron of gully and pocket tables has four compartments holding five balls each.

The slate joints are kept in perfect alignment by means of metal dowels and ferrules. Slate is accurately drilled for rail bolts. Slate is fastened to slate frame by concealed screws. The bottom of slate frame is planed and the top surface precision ground to obtain a level surface.

Rails: 1 3/4" thick by 4 1/2" wide in the exposed surfaces of select cabinet woods, rosewood faced. Fitted with the latest improved Brunswick cushions, containing live rubber, cemented to rail edge and covered with cushion cloth. Individual rails can be removed quickly without dismantling aprons. Rails have large rounded contours. Mother of pearl sights.

Rail Castings: Aluminum castings with natural finish at each pocket opening. Castings have a smooth, rounded contour and are moulded to receive pockets.

Corner Castings. Aluminum castings with natural finish at each corner. the Centennial corner casting is grooved and fluted to match apron.

Pocket and Pad: A one piece molded canvas-backed semi-hard rubber composition pocket and pad is provided for pocket openings.

Playing equipment: Fine quality cushion cloth is attached to rails. A wide selection of standard and deluxe playing equipment is optional with each table at catalog prices.

Four features of new rail construction:
1. Rail bolts fasten directly through the slate into bottom of the rail, eliminating any vibration and increasing accuracy with perfect angles.
2. Rail bolts are handy to get at--can be easily tightened by the operator at any time. It is not necessary to remove aprons to tighten bolts.
3. Cushion cloth is easier to attach at recovering time with new type of rail construction. Each rail can be removed without dismantling aprons.
4. The new type of construction removes the danger of breaking expensive slate when fastening rails to the table.

The Centennial identifying features: The Table name and model number stamped on outside of leg near top of head and foot end.

Model C:
- Finish: Rosewood satin.
- Rails: Rosewood; side pocket butt joint; no side pocket castings; 3 hole nut plate.
- Slate, 3 piece, 1" thick.
- Rail castings: Polished anodized aluminum: used at corners only; attached to rail by bolt passing through center of face into recessed rail nut.
- Apron corner castings: Polished anodized aluminum.
- Pockets: Maroon; one piece molded rubber.
- Legs: Oval shaped, tapered, rosewood finish with aluminum trim; without stretchers. Attached to base frame by bolts without angle brackets.
- Apron ball rack: recessed in foot end apron; rosewood. finish.

Model C-1: Same as C except:
- Rails: Rosewood with side pocket castings, 5 hole nut plates.
- Rail castings: Polished anodized aluminum; used at corner and side pockets; attached to rail by bolt passing through center of face into recessed rail nut.
